ROANOKE, Va. — Vectorial Corp., a biotechnology company developing new therapies for heart failure, has been accepted into the Regional Accelerator and Mentoring Program (RAMP), a startup accelerator that supports early-stage technology companies in Southwest Virginia.
RAMP provides participating companies with mentorship, educational programming, and connections to investors and industry partners to help accelerate business development and commercialization. The program is designed to support high-growth startups in biotechnology, healthcare, and advanced technology.
Vectorial is developing a therapeutic strategy to improve the cellular energy systems that power cardiac contraction. Heart failure is increasingly recognized as a condition in which declining mitochondrial energy production reduces the ability of heart muscle cells to sustain mechanical work, contributing to progressive loss of cardiac function.
Participation in the RAMP program will provide Vectorial with access to experienced mentors, commercialization resources, and regional innovation networks as the company continues advancing its technology.
“Joining the RAMP accelerator is an important step for our company as we continue building the scientific and business foundation needed to translate our research into potential therapies,” said Alexey Zaitsev, Ph.D., chief executive officer and co-founder of Vectorial Corp. “The mentorship and entrepreneurial resources available through the program will help strengthen our commercialization strategy and support the company’s next phase of growth.”
Vectorial Corp. is focused on developing mechanism-driven therapies designed to restore the energetic capacity required for healthy cardiac function and improve outcomes for patients with heart failure.
